REGULATION FOR THE SUBMISSION OF SCIENTIFIC WORK

Part I - REGISTRATION

1. The deadline to send abstracts is August 10, 2017.

2. Prior to sending the abstracts, it is required that the principal author register and pay the Congress. If you have not yet done so, please, click here to register. The principal author is defined as the author that uploads the abstract in the website (regardless of order of authors). 

3. The abstracts should only be uploaded on-line. Abstracts sent by e-mail will not be accepted.

4. The legitimacy of the information is the sole responsibility of the first author. Approval of the abstracts will be posted on the Congress website. The registration information will be used for on-line publication of the abstracts. We wil not be responsible for erroneous registration information.

5. The author must choose the TYPE OF PRESENTATION:

      a. SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATION (ORAL or POSTER)
      b. CASE REPORT (ORAL or POSTER)

          The scientific committee will decide the form of presentation (oral or poster). The best scientific investigations will receive a prize and presented again at the highlights session of the Congress.


6. Choose the THEME in which your work belongs to:

      a. Physics applied to Nuclear Medicine
      b. Radiopharmacy
      c. Conventional Nuclear Medicine & SPECT/CT
      d. PET/CT & PET/MR
      e. Radionuclide therapy

Part II – RULES FOR SUBMISION OF ABSTRACTS

1. One (01) on-line certificate will be provided for each abstract with the names of all authors and available on-line in the personal access of the Principal Author.

2. The principal author should declare all (if any) conflicts of interest and the type.

3. The abstracts can be sent in Portuguese or English with a maximum of 400 words (excluding Title, Authors and Institutions).

4. The abstracts should be separated in the format of the items separated in:

      a. SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATIONS: Introduction, Objectives, Materials & Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusions.
      b. CASE REPORTS: Introduction, Report, Discussion and References.

5. Abstracts will not be accepted if the names of authors, institution, city or state where the work was conducted are mentioned in the text. The information regarding the institution, names of authors and location of where the work was conducted should be mentioned only in the specific fields of the on-line registration.

6. After uploading and sending the abstract on-line, print the automatic confirmation and keep it with you.

Part III – RULES FOR PRESENTATION

1. Abstract information will be available in the author’s restricted area. The status of the abstract will be reported as: under analysis, accepted or rejected. The principal author will receive through e-mail with the information of acceptance/rejection of the abstract. The date, time and location of the presentation will be available in the author’s restricted area.

2. The final results of the accepted abstracts will be available at the official Congress website on October 02, 2017.

3. Abstracts selected as POSTERS should be:

      a. Presented in banners. Size = 90 cm width X 140 cm height.
      b. Each author is responsible for mounting and dismounting his/her poster.

4. Abstracts selected for ORAL PRESENTATION:

      a. Duration of 10 minutes
      b. Discussion of 5 minutes
      c. Present in Power Point format.

Part IV – REGULATIONS FOR PROF. EDWALDO CAMARGO PRIZE

1. The Prof. Edwaldo Camargo prize is destined to the best scientific investigation. The best selected abstracts will receive

      a. A certification with the names of all authors and the abstract title.
      b. Registration to an event promoted by the Brazilian Society of NM in 2018.

2. There will be one prize for each of the categories below

      a. Physics applied to Nuclear Medicine
      b. Radiopharmacy
      c. Conventional Nuclear Medicine & SPECT/CT
      d. PET/CT & PET/MR
      e. Radionuclide therapy

3. The scientific committee will elect the best scientific investigation among the winners of the 5 categories. The first author will receive R$ 5000,00*. This prize is supported by SIEMENS Healthineers.

* This prize is exclusive to the XXXI Brazilian Nuclear Medicine Congress. The value of R$ 5000,00 is the gross price. From this value there will be tax deductions which will determine the final net price which the prize winner will receive.

Part V – THE SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

1. The SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE is sovereign in the right to select, evaluate, accept and refuse abstracts for presentation. The SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE will resolve other situations not predicted in the regulation.

2. The distribution of the abstracts to the judges is the sole responsibility of the scientific committee.

3. Abstracts will be evaluated in relation to originality, presentation, method, scientific and/or social contribution.

4. No form of petition by the authors related to then judging process will be accepted.
